Every Woman Counts (EWC) provides free breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services to California’s underserved populations. The mission of EWC is to save lives by preventing and reducing the devastating effects of cancer for Californians through public and provider education, early detection, diagnosis, case management, and integrated preventive services. EWC is part of the Department of Health Care Services' Cancer Detection and Treatment Branch (CDTB).

Additionally, they offer quarterly diabetes screenings and an annual breast cancer screening along with other medical services and immunizations for families with any level of income. Saban Community Clinic has been serving clients since the 1960s. We have convenient locations in the Hollywood and West Hollywood areas. We provide help with enrollment in health insurance plans. Our goal is to serve our patients and to help them in a holistic way.
Originally, our clinic was a pioneer in free health care. Now, we assist patients with enrollment in MediCal, Medicare, Covered California (Affordable Care Act) or applicable other coverage. We believe everyone should have access to affordable, quality health care. Good health care should not be limited to those who have high incomes. Services include cancer screenings. |

Women's Health at DHS provides high-quality screenings and diagnostic services to detect breast and gynecologic cancers The Every Women Counts (EWC) program provides free exams that help low-income and uninsured women gain access to essential services and reduces the devastating effects of cancer through prevention, education, early diagnosis and treatment.
